Ben Mayrides Biography
Ben Mayrides is a seasoned security leader with 28 years of experience turning cybersecurity into a business advantage. As Chief Information Security Officer at Cvent, an industry-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, he's built a career proving that strong security and business success can go hand in hand.
Through his deep commitment to safe corporate growth, he is a trusted C-level advisor and has twice been appointed as a company's inaugural CISO, tasked with designing and scaling mature security programs. He has guided organizations through private equity-backed cloud transformations, M&A divestitures and integrations across some of the most highly regulated enterprise and SaaS environments. Ben also leads Cvent’s AI governance efforts, having built the company’s enterprise AI framework from the ground up, covering governance structure, AI risk management, and compliance with the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001, among others.
His career spans the FBI, AOL, Sony, Fannie Mae, The Advisory Board Company, and Ellucian. Outside of his professional work, Ben is active in both the technology and local communities, including advisory roles with Exium, MACH 37, and 1455 Literary Arts, and service as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Latin American Youth Center Career Academy.
