Bryan Sivak Biography
Mr. Bryan Sivak has been Chief Technology Officer of United States Department of Health & Human Services since June 15, 2012. Mr. Sivak Founded InQuira Inc., in 2002 and served as its General Manager of Europe. He was the Founder of Electric Knowledge, Inc. Mr. Sivak served as Chief Architect of InQuira, Inc. Mr. Sivak served as Chief Technology Officer of Electric Knowledge Inc. He served as Chief Engineer and Architect of WebSeer project. He served at IBM's Santa Teresa Laboratory on natural language text retrieval-related projects and for Starfish Software, where he developed and launch of Starfish's Internet Sidekick Product. Mr. Sivak served as Maryland Chief Innovation Officer. Mr. Sivak helped create the state's health information exchanges to connect various electronic health record (EHR) platforms. Mr. Sivak also served on issues such as public safety, broadband access and getting citizens involved with social media, according to Government Health IT. In addition, Mr. Sivak helped set up a health insurance exchange (HIXs) to allow citizens to shop for health plans. Mr. Sivak holds BS in Computer Science from University of Chicago.
