Heidi Wood, L3 Technologies

Heidi R. Wood is Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Technology of L3 Technologies, a global aerospace and national security company with 2017 sales of $9.6 billion that employs approximately 31,000 people worldwide.

Ms. Wood is responsible for leading the execution of L3’s overall business strategy and integration initiatives, as well as providing operational oversight of corporate functions, including research and development, engineering, analytics, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and communications. She also works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to oversee L3’s investor relations function.

Ms. Wood has more than two decades of experience in the aerospace and defense industry and as a financial analyst for leading Wall Street banks. She joined L3 in June 2016 from Spirit AeroSystems, where she was responsible for strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations, and successfully implemented a number of shareholder-focused and operational initiatives. Prior to that, she served as Managing Director and Global Head of Aerospace and Defense Equity Research at Morgan Stanley, where she built an award-winning research franchise and was ranked as a top analyst by Institutional Investor magazine for 12 consecutive years.

An honors graduate with a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, Ms. Wood has previously served on the board of the Space Foundation and on the Presidential Commission on the Future of the U.S. Aerospace Industry.
