Jim Fowler Biography

Jim Fowler is Chief Information Officer (CIO) for GE. In this role, he is driving GE’s global Information Technology (IT) strategy, services and operations, and aggressively delivering innovative and transformational solutions for GE, its customers and employees. A global IT leader with 20 years of IT experience, including 15 years with several diverse GE businesses, Jim comes to this role from GE Capital, where he served as CIO since 2014 and was responsible for developing and delivering simple and consistent global business processes digitized through IT.

Prior to GE, he held IT roles with NCR and Accenture. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, as well as an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
