Larry Dignan Biography

Larry Dignan has been an Editorial Director of TechRepublic Inc., since February 2008. Mr. Dignan serves as an Editor-in-Chief of ZDNet inc. He lead the editorial team in ZDNet coverage of the stories and events that impact today's business professionals, as well as oversee the ZDNet blog network, which features some of the most authoritative and well-respected voices in the IT community. He served as an Executive Editor of News and Blogs at ZDNet. Mr. Dignan also continue daily blogging for "Between the Lines," an in-depth, analytical discussion about what's happening in the world of business technology.

Mr. Dignan has more than 15 years experience as a reporter and editor. Before joining ZDNet in 2006 overseeing news and blogs, Mr. Dignan was Executive Editor of eWeek, where he led the online and print news operations for the magazine. He has covered the technology and financial services industry since 1995, publishing articles in WallStreetWeek.com, Inter@ctive Week, The New York Times, and Financial Planning magazine. Mr. Dignan wrote for various publications including Baseline, a 1995 National Magazine Aware finalist and Grand Neal Award winner, where he edited the Baseline 500 issue and covered numerous topics at the intersection of technology and business including the technology rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina and various investigative reports about technology management large enterprises. He also served as the East Coast news editor and finance editor at CNET News.com. He reported for CNET News.com, CMPNet TechWeb, and more.

Mr. Dignan is a graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism and the University of Delaware.
