Michael Rethage, Touchtown Inc.

Michael has a strong entrepreneurial background having started and sold two businesses before the age of 27. The first business started at age 14, a mobile disc jockey company called ‘Sound Revolution’ provided over 11 years of entertaining crowds even after his Dad had to drop him off at the gig prior to being able to drive himself. The second company ‘Wider Image LLC’ ,a large format printing company, was formed in 2006 as one of the first companies on the internet to provide printed photo collages of customer’s uploaded pictures.

Since then Michael’s continued career has diverse flavor in areas of project management, healthcare, procurement, sales, marketing and IT implementation. His experiences include leading software implementations for one of the nations’ largest healthcare providers to managing equipment projects that help run America’s Nuclear Navy.

Beyond his professional career, Michael works to engage those around him in volunteerism and community service. He also uses his personal experiences regionally to speak to students and young professionals about entrepreneurship and getting involved in the community. His commitment and service, particularly as Young Professional Outreach Board President for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh in 2012 and 2013, were recognized in 2013 with the Presidential Service award from President Obama. In November 2013, Michael appeared in Pittsburgh Magazine as he was selected as one of Pittsburgh’s 40 Under 40 in 2013.
