Paula Goldman Biography
Paula Goldman is Salesforce's first-ever Chief Ethical and Humane Use Officer and EVP of Product. She is a leading figure in designing trustworthy AI and enabling human-AI collaboration for transformative outcomes.
Prior to Salesforce, Paula was VP and Founding Head of the Tech and Society Solutions Lab as well as VP of Impact Investing at Omidyar Network, an investment firm founded by eBay Founder Pierre Omidyar. As an entrepreneur and investor, she lived and worked across multiple countries including India, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bosnia, the UK and the US.
Paula was a member of the US National AI Advisory Committee established by Congress to advise the President, where she chaired the Generative AI Working Group. She was named to Fast Company's AI 20, Leader of the Year by UC Berkeley's Fisher Center for Business Analytics, and one of the Most Influential Women by the San Francisco Business Times. She is on the board of Capture6 and Rebalance Capital, and was part of the steering committee for the World Economic Forum's Responsible Use of Technology project.
Paula earned a Ph.D. from Harvard University, where she did a dissertation on how unorthodox ideas become mainstream.
