Maryfran Johnson, CIO Magazine

Maryfran Johnson is an award-winning IT journalist and editorial executive at IDG Enterprise, the parent company of CIO magazine. She was named Editor in Chief of CIO and its events division in January 2009. This unique dual role combines strategic direction of the magazine with agenda development, speaker recruitment and conference moderating duties for the CIO 100 Symposium and 9 regional CIO Perspectives events. In her 25 years’ experience covering IT leadership and business technology trends, Johnson has developed an extensive network of CIO contacts built during previous leadership positions as Editor in Chief of IDG's Computerworld and Founding Editor of CIO Decisions magazine. Since the mid-1990s, Johnson has been featured in media interviews as an expert commentator on IT leadership, technology and business trends. She appears regularly as CIO panel moderator at other executive conferences and is known for her engaging stage presence and deep knowledge of IT executive issues.
