Nigel Kirkham is the Global Head of Sales at Avanade , responsible for sales strategy and all sales activity to deliver the global sales target. He has more than 30 years-experience in consulting and outsourcing environments, and joined Avanade in November 2011. Prior to Avanade, Nigel ran Computer Science Corporation’s (CSC) "Technology & Consumer" industry vertical, with clients ranging from major retail businesses, consumer Brands and service companies, Telco, Media, Technology companies and Travel, Transport and Logistics businesses. Prior to CSC, Nigel worked for 9 years for UK-based outsourcer Xansa (now Steria), where he ran all of the Commercial Sector business. Nigel started his career in KPMG Consulting where he worked for 13 years, starting as a Junior Consultant and achieving Partnership in 1994.

He is a keen motorsport enthusiast and motorcyclist, and raced a R1 Yamaha Super Sports bike in an amateur Club Racing series in the UK. He is also a keen hiker, having trekked to the base camps of both Everest and Annapurna in the Himalayas, and a number of years ago summited Mount Kinabalu in Borneo, on behalf of the Princes Trust charity.
