Phil Komarny, CIO and VP for Computer and Information Technology, at Seton Hill University, has served as the institutional catalyst in initiatives which have positioned Seton Hill as a leader in strengthening learning through the use of mobile technology. In addition to providing daily support of the Universitys entire technology infrastructure, Komarny develops new software and website applications and manages institutional use of Facebook, Twitter, blogs and podcasts.
As vice president/chief information officer, Stephen diFilipo is responsible for keeping Cecil up to speed in the area of information technology. A veteran of the field since computers started to become more prevalent in the 1980s, diFilipo came to Cecil in 2007 by way of Gloucester County College, where he spent five years as chief technology officer. He has also held upper management information technology positions at Quantum Think in Philadelphia; Burlington County Special Services School District in Mount Holly, N.J.; and Campbell Soup Company in Camden, N.J. diFilipo earned a bachelor's degree from Rowan University and a master's from New York University.
Kelly Walsh is the CIO at The College of Westchester in White Plains, NY, and the founder and author of EmergingEdTech.com. He has worked as an information technology manager for over 20 years, and in 2008 he joined The College of Westchester. In 2009, Walsh founded the popular website EmergingEdTech.com, where he writes regularly about engaging students and enhancing learning outcomes through the use of emerging Internet and instructional technologies. He regularly speaks and conducts workshops about a variety of education technology topics at schools across the U.S. His September, 2012 publication, "iPads in Education: Implementations, Apps, and Insights" is available on iTunes and other eBook outlets, and the latest annual update to his highly popular "Free Education Technology Resources eBook" is available on EmergingEdTech.com. Walsh has also developed an online "Flipped Classroom Workshop" that he runs several times a year.
