The larger the organization, the more difficult and longer a digital transformation effort will be. Dion Hinchcliffe explains the need for change agents at every level of the organization.

Transcript

Everyone in the organisation is part of the digital transformation effort. You can’t say that you are going to have a single – you might have a single person representing the transformational effort, but leadership I think it’s really done at a local even a individual level inside the organisation.

There is simply too much to do in large organizations, and that’s why I think we need evangelists and communicators to explain what that process looks like right. So then those might be the visible leaders, but real leadership has to happen in the trenches, on the ground in middle management. In line staff, and with senior executives all pulling on the same rope, and that’s really the only way that we’re going to see large organizations changing quickly enough to match market conditions.
